About
Amanda Esch-Cormier is the author of titles, Wild and Beautiful, A Snow Day for Theo, Mama Sings, and A Walk with Henrietta. She is an experienced educator, children’s writer, singer, songwriter, mother, and advocate.
Amanda spent years as a teacher for students with disabilities, specializing in children needing behavioral support. Through this work, she fell in love with finding innovative ways to break down and retell stories to increase readability, comprehension, as well as, promote empathy and confidence in the classroom.
“When I was a child I would sit in my room and write everything. I had journals full of quotes, lyrics, and little stories about the people around me. I know what it can be like to lose your voice as a child and I hope to help others feel confident in their voices and know they have something. We all have a story to share.”
